Parent Responsibility and Commitment

Thank you for including me as part of your child's team. I look forward to helping your child and your family experience success at home, in school, and throughout the community. As a partner with you, I wish to share my philosophy on how to achieve optimal progress.

Therapeutic approaches to behavior modification and developmental needs are most effective when the entire team assumes the responsibility. Early Intervention Specialist, educators, parents, caregivers, and the  child are held accountable for practice and progress.

True progress is the result of consistency, commitment, structure and loving limits that are kept in place across settings and over time.

As such the expectation is that parents (caretakers):

  1. Adhere to the recommendations put in place by service provider

  2. Provide feedback when strategies are not working in order to develop modified or new strategies

  3. Keep educators and providers informed of any changes in the home environment that will ultimately impact the child

  4. Regularly participate in parent coaching through private sessions

  5. Follow through with adjustments to diet and sleep schedule and technology usage as recommended by your service provider

  6. Maintain open communication with all providers

Thank you for your commitment. Let’s get started!
